Shane Longoria and the 171
Shane Longoria is a singer and songwriter from DeRidder, Louisiana, where Highway 171 runs through town. That highway is where the name comes from. It's also where the songs started, the kind of place that gets in you whether you planned on it or not.
Longoria spent years playing solo shows across Louisiana, writing songs the whole time. When he was ready to bring them to a full band, he turned to the people he already trusted. Guitarist Michael Carr, bassist Kyle Bosley, and drummer Drew Willis. Four friends who grew up on the same music and knew what a real show was supposed to feel like.
Shane Longoria and the 171 made their debut at the South Franklin Catfish Festival in Wisner, Louisiana. By the second song, a crowd that mostly didn't know them was on their feet singing along. They had the stage. They've been earning stages like that ever since.
Shane Longoria and the 171 are based in Monroe, Louisiana and play country rock across Louisiana and the surrounding region.
